Friends of the Library
Become a Friend of the Berlin-Peck Memorial Library!
We ❤ our Friends
The Friends of the Berlin-Peck Memorial Library is a group of volunteers who fundraise and advocate for the Library. Their goal is to make the Library an outstanding cultural, recreational, and educational resource for our community. The Friends run Berlin’s only bookstore, located below the Library in the Berlin Community Center.
When you become a Friends member, your donation helps sponsor free-to-the public programs for kids, teens, and adults. The Friends also purchase popular museum passes, items for the Library not in its budget, and prizes for the Library’s summer reading programs. The Friends of the Berlin-Peck Memorial Library is a 501(c)(3) organization. All donations are tax deductible.
Friends meetings are held on the first Wednesday of the month at 6:30 pm. Members are welcome to attend! Attendance is optional.
Become a Friend
We need your help to grow and support the Library!
You can join the Friends by making a yearly tax-deductible donation. The suggested amount is $25 per year, but any amount is appreciated. Some members support the Friends simply by donating, while others become more involved by attending meetings and volunteering their time. Become a Friends member today and share your passion for the Library, and make a difference in the Library services available to you and to the whole community!
To join the Friends, fill out the membership form and return it with your donation to the Library in person or by mail.
Membership forms are also available at the Library!

Book Donations
All donations become the property of the Friends of the Berlin-Peck Memorial Library, and may be added to the collection, sold at the book sale, or discarded. The same criteria used for inclusion in the library’s collection also apply to gifts. Donations added to the collection may be subsequently withdrawn when they are worn or when their content is no longer current.
Drop-Off Locations
DO bring donations directly to the Friends Bookstore, located in the Berlin Community Center, during Bookstore hours.
DO NOT put donations in the Library’s book drop, on the bench in front of the book drop, or behind the Library.
