Due Dates

Due dates are calculated automatically by the Library’s computer system.

Items will not be due on days the Library is closed.

Renewals

Renewing an item extends the due date for an additional loan period.

The number of renewals allowed varies depending on the material type. See the chart on the previous page for renewal limits for each material type.

Items that are on hold (reserved) for another patron cannot be renewed.

Courtesy Renewal

The Library’s computer system will automatically renew eligible items a few days before the due date. Patrons have the option to turn this feature off. Renewal limits apply.

Online Renewal

Patrons may renew their checked-out materials themselves through the Library’s online catalog using their library card. They may be required to enter a PIN or other security measures. Renewal limits apply.

Requesting Renewal

Patrons may request a renewal from Library staff by telephone, email, or in person.
Renewal limits apply.

Electronic Materials

Electronic materials provided through third-party vendors are subject to vendor restrictions.

In order to keep electronic services within budget, the Library may set limits on the number of electronic items that can be borrowed per month.
